We are celebrating Read Across America Week at our school this week. There are lots of fun activities planned all week with a very special day planned for Friday. One of the treats all of the students will receive on Friday is a cupcake. I was asked if I could make a few and of course I said I would! One thing lead to another and I decided I couldn’t just make cupcakes. I wanted to jazz them up a bit, so I made a bunch of these picks! They were real quick to make and will add the perfect touch to all of my cupcakes!

Until next time, keep creating!

Snow Day Scrapbook Page

A couple of months ago we got a whole lot of snow, so out came the good ole camera for some awesome snow day pictures! It does snow here, but not every year and usually it’s not enough to really have some fun and play in. When it does I always try and get a few pictures.

Of course I had to turn those pictures in to a scrapbook page.

snow day scrapbook1

The pictures just really don’t do this page justice; it’s really so much better in person. I used the Festive Flurry stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for all the snowflakes. I also used the matching framelit dies. This is one of those pages that looks like it took a lot longer to put together than it actually did, thanks to the coordinating framelit dies. I had two other main components which helped this page come to life and they were glimmer paper and sliver metallic ink. I created the frames around my pictures with the square collection framelit dies.

gift boxes

Hey everyone! These are some samples I made up for some lovely ladies who came to my last event. We used the Kraft boxes from Stampin’ Up! to make some gift boxes. These are really easy to customize anyway you would like!

Everyone got to make one of these! They are a lot easier than they look, which is always great right?

We used the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper to cover the outside of the boxes. I am still as in love with this paper as I was the first time I saw it in the catalog.

We made rosettes and then cut flowers out with the new spiral flower die for the top. We made some leaves with a circle punch. We glued the roses on top of the rosette and then glued the rosette to a belly band.

This way it’ll just slide off and the recipient can put it back on after getting the treasures inside. The stamps we used are from a Hostess set called “Banner Greetings”.

Until next time, keep creating!

Hey everyone! Is your little one or are you in love with Disney’s newest feature Frozen? We sure are!!! So of course my little girl just had to have a Frozen birthday party:) I was all over it!

Are you ready for some awesome Frozen birthday party ideas? I was so excited when my little girl decided to go with this theme because this year I had all I needed to make all of my decorations! My hubby tells me I go a little overboard, but honestly it just comes once a year, so you got to do it right!

First the invitations!

frozen7I got all of the images from the official Disney’s Frozen website and used My Digital Studio to design the invitations.

Here’s a couple of pictures of the decorations I made. I made simple paper chains in the colors she picked out and lots of snowflakes using the Festive Flurry Stamp Set. (This set is currently still available.)

I made double of all the snowflakes pictures above and taped them all over the front door.

Next we have the party favors! Each girl bag contained stickers, “troll snot” aka silly string, coloring book, and a wand. I also added in some “Olaf toes” aka marshmallows at the last minute and I didn’t get a picture. Each boy bag contained the same minus the wand. I tried to think of something to give the boys similar to the wand, but my son informed me that they didn’t need anything on a stick, uh ok, so I won’t make the boys anything on  stick. It was very humorous!

Everything turned out great and it was lots of fun! If you have any questions on how I made something just leave me a comment or just leave me one anyway:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time, keep creating!

Just a reminder it’s SALE-A-BRATION time! For every $50.00 order placed you get a FREE product from the sale-a-bration brochure! Lots of fun stuff!

 PCCCS077 Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone! I’m back again with another sketch challenge entry. This ones over at papercraftcrew.com. I’m still using the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stacks, as you can see:) The hearts and the banners are from the Language of Love stamp set. The greeting is from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set. This one really has some cute sayings in it!

The “I Freakin’ Love You” stamp is perfect for valentine themed cards.

Hey everyone! I was in the mood for a sketch challenge and they had this awesome sketch over at deconstructingjen.com, so of course I had to play along!

I am pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you think?

I used paper from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. Real Red and Coastal Cabana are just not two colors I would have thought would work so well together, but Stampin’ Up! sure proved me wrong:) It’s currently my favorite.

The hearts come from the Language of Love stamp set, so far my go to stamp for valentine themed cards. My greeting is a new sale-a -bration stamp set called See Yah Later, that will be available soon for FREE with any $50 purchase.

monsterhugs1Stampin’ Up! Monster Hugs Notecard Tutorial

Hey everyone! Isn’t she just adorable? I love these monsters! I also know lots of little monsters that will love these too:) These are part of a special promotion Stampin’ Up! is doing until January 27, 2014.

You can make like they are originally designed to be or use them to make a card like I did! They come in blue or pink!

Are you ready to make your own? Well here you go! ( Fair warning I took lots of pictures.)

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 piece of white cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. ( This is your base.)
  • 2 pieces of designer series paper cut at 5 1/4 x 4. ( I used Fresh Prints DSP Stack.)
  • 2 pieces of white cardstock cut at 5 x 3 3/4.
  • 1 monster from the set of monster hugs valentine cards. (This is also where your eyes come from.)
  • snail
  • dimensionals
  • scissors
  • round corner punch (Optional)
  • heart punch (Optional)
  • ink (I used Coastal Cabana)
  • Language of Love Stamp Set ( You could also use what you have one hand.)

Instructions for Notecard

First you will get all of your cardstock and DSP and round the corners.

rounded corners

Next you will take your notecard base and attach your two sheets of DSP with snail. You will attach one sheet on both sides.

Then take your 5 x 3 3/4 piece of white cardstock and attach it with the snail as shown below.

Next you will stamp your heart and banners, both of these stamps come from the Language of Love stamp set. You could also use any stamps or stickers that you already have.

Language of Love

I cut out the banners by hand and used my heart punch for the heart. Then you will assemble your monster. Which is pretty much just adding the eyes.

Add your heart to the center with dimensionals. I used 2.

Your very last step is to add your monster to the front of your notecard with dimensionals. Again I used 2.

Yay! Your all done!

Here is another version I made with a sneak peek of a saleabration stamp set. You could also go ahead and stick a piece of candy in her arms with the heart underneath too!

Thanks for joining me! Until next time, keep creating!

Hey everyone! I ‘ve got those promised pictures of my sisters baby shower décor. Everything turned out super and she got lots of stuff for her bundle of joy.

She wanted to do whales from day one and I knew exactly what I wanted to use!

The Oh, Whale! Stamp Brush Set.

Oh Whale Stamp Brush Set

I used this  and My Digital Studio to make everything from the invitations to the décor.

This is not the best picture of the banner, but it’s the only one I got:( I used some banners from the simply created banner kit that was in the holiday catalog. You could easily recreate this with cardstock or different canvas banners. I used the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die to cut all the letters.

babyshower5These are large rosettes, I made with my scoring tool!

babyshower3I made these advice cards for everyone to fill out for her baby book. I also punched out all those hearts for everyone to put their name on. My sis has a plan for all of those and we also used them to draw names for door prizes!

I used the Bingo Card Stamp Brush Set to make custom bingo cards for baby bingo with MDS (My Digital Studio).

And last but not least party favors! I love to hand out little favors as a thank you for attending. We  all know how busy life can get, so why not reward your friends and family that took the time to come to your event:)

babyshower7Thanks for checking out all of my pictures! If you would like to know how I made something, just leave me a  comment.

I’d be happy to tell you!

Until next time, keep creating!

painted flower thank you

I’m in love with Pistachio Pudding and Calypso Coral right now! Which is probably a good thing, since those are the two colors my sister picked for her baby shower.

I also used my new favorite stamp set So Very Grateful. It was my first pick from the new occasions catalog. Be sure to come back soon I’ve made some other cards with this same stamp that I will be posting. I will also have pictures of all my baby shower decorations that I’ve been working on.

Until next time, keep creating!

I’ve been super busy around here! I made a couple of videos today that I plan on posting soon:) I’ve been making decorations for my sisters upcoming baby shower for the past couple of days, so I needed a little break from that and I saw the sketch challenge at retrosketches.blogspot.com, so real quickly I came up with this card!
